    Add 301 and 302 courses

Now, livemocha has a large amount of languages: English, Spanish, French, etc...Why not add 301 and 302 courses. I am currently studying Spanish and now I've finished Spanish 202. I'm dying for Spanish 301 and 302!!!

have more exercises available at end of courses

Have writing and speaking exercises available for people who have finished all the available courses in a language -- ones that aren't just doing over again the exercises in the courses. Something to keep working on beyond the end of 202.

    Don't stick to one-size-fits-all lessons

I've completed the Spanish 101 course (although it's admittedly way below my level -- I was trying out the system and I still learned some new words or expressions now and then) and played a bit with other courses as well. In so doing, I found it obvious that you created a course for learning Eng... more

a Wikipedia-like solution for users to create lessons

The lessons by themselves are not sufficient if one wants to learn a language using only Livemocha.
We need to have an addition to each lesson, that would allow users to create a lesson summing up the content of the course. For instance:
    -vocabulary
    -tenses
    -grammar
    etc.

Additional spoken and written skill builder exercices

For audio recordings (or written exercices), you're supposed to read out loud (write) a text related to the lesson, but it would be a major improvement if you were able to record (write) any text you wanted to. You could easily add these exercices as Skill Builder Exercises

    Why don't you star... more

    Livemocha iPhone interface

Please create an iPhone optimized interface to livemocha. Doesn't matter if it is a webapp or a native iphone application, but it would be very cool if I could use livemocha from my iphone and learn new languages while I am on my way.

    Add language chatrooms

I suggest adding language chatrooms so that language learners can meet in public to have live discussions about the languages that they are learning (and to practice with native speakers live!). This would be an opportunity for members of the community to really get to know each other on a more p... more

add a pause function for audio submissions

Some are rather long. It would make
writing and listening at the same time possible and it would be much easier to give concrete examples. Also it's not that difficult to implement.

Add der/die/das to all German nouns

When I learned German the first time it was imperative to know the gender of German nouns to form the correct aritcles, prepositions, etc. So, I suggest, whenever a noun is listed by itself that it also be listed with der, die, or das. Learning the gender of the noun up front is crucial; it is ... more

Add Chinese Character recognition to Chinese lessons

We need some Chinese Character recognition before the conversation exercises which are in Chinese Characters in the Chinese lessons. Manual translation to pinyin is a very slow method.

    Vocabulary building game.

This would be similar to the google image tagging game where two anonymous people are teamed up from a queue to identify images. Add an alphabet with pronunciation guide for characters

Learning a new language with a set of characters or different script is difficult if you don't know what they are. One of the first lessons should have a tab you can click that shows the letter/characters and how to pronounce them.
