Add video exercises to learning content.
I think if would be a great idea if videos were added as exercises at the end of the units. The videos could show native/fluent speakers holding conversations which would cover the material learned throughout the lesson. I think the most important part of this suggestion is just hearing the vocabulary spoken in an everyday way. This could be used in a listening comprehension exercise, with questions to answer about what happened. Somewhat like what is in the TOEFL?
