<text>I've completed the Spanish 101 course (although it's admittedly way below my level -- I was trying out the system and I still learned some new words or expressions now and then) and played a bit with other courses as well. In so doing, I found it obvious that you created a course for learning English, then simply swapped in different words (and sometimes grammar structures) to make lessons for other languages. If this is not actually what happened, it still certainly looks that way.

Now, I understand why you've done this, of course: It's a heck of a lot faster and easier to reuse pictures and sentence patterns for every language than to do every course from scratch. And it's true: a lot of the work you've done is just fine and can be adapted virtually as-is. But you can't do that for the entire course, because no two languages work exactly alike, and a lot of the differences come up from the very beginning.

For example, the lessons for Romance languages invariably use familiar forms for "you", which I don't think is a good idea: the student should be introduced to the difference between familiar and formal forms from the beginning and be taught to err on the side of being too formal. The lessons also tend to use subject pronouns much more than necessary, which can form bad habits: it's a very common mistake to overuse subject pronouns, and students should be taught to use them only when actually necessary.

There are other problems, too. For instance, Spanish 101 Unit 3 lesson 5 has the phrase "508 niñas", and somebody going by only the lesson would probably guess "Cincocientos ocho niñas", but in fact it must be "Quientas ocho niñas": the word for 500 is irregular and the numbers 100-900 must change for gender. But this wasn't taken into account, because the course wasn't designed with the Spanish language in mind.</text>

<text>I accidentally clicked "submit" twice when doing an exercise and ended up with two submissions. (This was the first and so far only time I've accidentally made two submissions). I did this because there was no indication I clicked the submit button properly the first time -- no color change or anything when I clicked it -- which I think is a problem in itself.

But now I have two submissions that show up in my Course Home. Both of them go to the same page when I click them, which makes no sense: why have two icons next to each other that go to the same page? Both of my submissions have the same URL, too -- there seems to be no sense in which the submissions are acutally separate. Basically, what I'm saying is you should make up your mind: should two submissions for the same exercise be considered separate or not?

Furthermore, there is no way for me to delete my extra submission and get rid of the extra icon in my Course Home.</text>

<text>The lessons by themselves are not sufficient if one wants to learn a language using only Livemocha.
We need to have an addition to each lesson, that would allow users to create a lesson summing up the content of the course. For instance:
-vocabulary
-tenses
-grammar
etc.

As I am learning Hindi, I can tell that learning the devanagari alphabet is crucial. Yet nowhere on Livemocha can we find a tutorial.

Users could modify the contents freely or under certain restraints (knowledge of the language, user's points, elections through votes by other members...)

I think that would be a HUGE addition to LiveMocha.

Long life!!</text>
